Startpoint Dance Company offers the opportunity for our students to compete in competitions across the country. These provide children with invaluable experiences to perform and increase their confidence.
Supreme Competition 2024
September 2024
We had an amazing experience at our first Supreme competition last weekend! We are so proud of each and every one of our dancers who absolutely shone on stage! Due to late entry we were only allowed to take group dances but look forward to entering solos, duets and trios next time.​
We're so pleased with all our results! Three dances had especially high scores and are through to the Supreme final! We are particularly proud of Diva which was 1 point away from 1st place in a very competitive category, and Gaga which scored 277 out of 300. ​
​A special mention to Alice and Emma who won the MT Dance Challenge in the 12-13 and 14+ age categories...it was tough competition and the smashed it!

Starz UK Competition 2024

Massive shout out to our dedicated and talented competition team. Last year was our first year to dip our toes into this fiercely competitive but amazingly fun dance competition world. 2023 we were thrilled to achieve one gold group award through to nationals in The Aaron Dwyer Competition and one group first place in Starz Competition.
With a lot of hard work, just one year on they have just achieved a gold award for all 5 group entries, all through to nationals at the Aaron Dwyer Competition plus 4 soloists, and an incredible result at Starz this weekend with two groups gaining first places, one with an overall score of 194/200 - ultimate gold score - also achieving the highest group score of the day and the prized most standout dance out group of the day.

Huge thanks to our amazing dance teachers who push these kids to be even better than they hoped to be themselves. Can’t wait to see what the next few years bring.

The Aaron Dywer Competition 2024

Words can’t describe how proud we are of these kids! Their hard work, determination and teamwork absolutely shone yesterday. From 4 routines last year to 24 this year, we can’t believe what they’ve achieved! Thank you to all our incredible dance families who have been with us every step of the way, your support means everything to us!

As well as medals and trophies, 14 routines gained a silver award based on the scores and 10 routines achieved a gold award! This is such a huge achievement, we are so proud of you all!
Starz UK Competition 2023

Starpoint Dance Company had an amazing weekend at Starz UK in Cambridge! 1 Gold award and 4 high Silver awards. And a special mentions for Parade which won 1st place in the Musical Theatre category! We are so proud of all these amazing kids!

Take The Stage Competiton 2023
May 2023
Starpoint Dance Company entered our first dance competition in May. We entered 4 group dances across teen and senior age categorys and had the most amazing weekend. Placing 1st in senior small group open, teen musical theatre, teen large group open and 2nd in teen small group open. One of our seniors also got through to the final in the judges knockouts.

We are so proud of how far our students have come. Now on to the next.....this is just the beginning!
